What is the difference between MICR and Non-Micr Toner?
MICR stands for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition and is used for printing checks. The ink contains a special formula that allows the bank machines to scan and read the checks automatically. Non-Micr toner is regular laser toner used for everyday printing.
What is OEM?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. OEMs, such as Lexmark or HP, are the companies that manufacture printers and other equipment. OEM cartridges are cartridges that are branded with the OEM's brand. All of our products meet or exceed OEM standards.

What is a remanufactured toner?
Recycled cartridges that are disassembled, and have the worn parts replaced, are called remanufactured cartridges. To guarantee print quality, checksandtoner.com remanufactured cartridges are rebuilt according to our standards and thoroughly tested.
Will remanufactured toner last as long as OEM?
Our remanufactured or compatible cartridges should last an average of 15% to 20% longer. In many cases, the OEM will not fill their cartridges to full capacity; instead, they fill the cartridge based on "weight" rather than volume. We simply fill the toner cartridge to capacity. In addition to saving money on the purchase of a checksandtoner.com remanufactured or compatible cartridge, you should save even more because it should print or copy 15% to 20% more pages before needing to be replaced.
What if I can't find the toner I need?
Try searching either the printer number or toner number in the search bar. If you still can’t find it, email us at sales@checksandtoner.com or call the 888 number and we will locate it for you. If we do not currently have it on the site, we will be happy to add it.
Will using a remanufactured or compatible cartridge void my printer warranty?
The short answer is "no." The Federal Trade Commission prohibits any manufacturer from requiring a consumer to purchase supplies exclusively from the manufacturer. In addition, the Sherman and Clayton Antitrust Act states that manufacturers are not allowed to limit a warranty, requiring the consumer to use only the manufacturer's supplies. Many manufacturers will limit their warranty based on "damage" to the printer caused from a non-OEM cartridge. This is the OEM's way of trying to make you believe that other products are inferior, and that their products are worth substantially more money.
Can I really save money by using remanufactured?
In most cases you should realize significant savings. For example, let’s take a look at a popular toner cartridge: the HP LaserJet 4250/4350 toner cartridge. The standard yield OEM cartridge retails for $166.99 on HP's web site. Office Depot lists their standard yield remanufactured cartridge for $140.99, on their web site. Checksandtoner.com’s everyday selling price for the standard yield 4250/4350 remanufactured cartridge is $52.99. Our price could save you between $88.00 and $114.00 PER CARTRIDGE in this example, depending on the type of cartridge you use and where you currently buy your cartridges. We also offer the OEM version of this toner for only $141.00 a savings of $25.99 compared to HP. Example prices obtained on June 22. 2009 from the HP and Office Depot web sites. Why does my order confirmation say that product must ship to billing address until order history is established?
Unfortunately we have experienced some fraudulent orders and this is one of the ways we try and protect ourselves from that. By only shipping to the billing address until you have ordered a few times, ensures that the order is legitimate and is not being placed with a stolen credit card. If you are ordering for a business with multiple locations, please call us and we will make arrangements. ?xml:namespace> ?xml:namespace>
